The Path of Life

Recommit yourself each day to walking the path of life with God. If you question whether you’re on the path, ask yourself two questions: Am I trying to love and honor God? Am I trying to love and serve other people? If we love God, we open our lives to him. If we love other people, we find ways to make life better for them. When we walk this path, we become immersed in the great flow of love. We know we are headed in the right direction.

Gradually, it becomes easier to cleanse ourselves of temptation as we daily walk this path. Slowly but surely, the conflicts of temptation drop away. This is the positive approach. We are doing something rather than suppressing something. No longer is it a chore to rid ourselves of a stubborn temptation. No longer is it a bothersome task to change, but a great privilege. There is purifying power in our sincere, spiritual devotion. We are conquering temptation through the love of a higher and better way of life.

As we walk this path, we find the happiness that we have long sought. Love, peace, hope, and joy become ours through wholeheartedly embracing the way of God. Life is filled with meaning and purpose. We begin to experience true freedom and genuine self-mastery. This is the reliable path, which God provides. It is the path of spiritual transformation, which allows us to transcend temptation.

You show me the path of life.

In your presence there is fullness of joy;

in your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
