Week 2 of Year 4 "The Peacemakers"

❖❖❖❖
The Peacemakers

Students may read Matthew 5:1-12
One special day, the disciples followed Jesus up into the hills. They sat down around him and heard him say, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.” We know that conflicts often arise among people. Peacemakers try to find ways to reduce conflict and restore friendliness. They have inner peace with God. We also see this written as, “Happy are the peacemakers.” It is the seventh Beatitude from the Sermon on the Mount.
Discussion Questions
Think about troublemakers and peacemakers. Sometimes it’s tempting to join in with troublemakers. But happiness is found by being a peacemaker. What are things that peacemakers do? What do peacemakers believe about people?
