Hosanna!
Students may read Matthew 21:1-11
On the Sunday before he died, Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the colt of a donkey. A joyful crowd followed him into the city. They spread their garments on the road for the donkey to walk upon. They cut leafy branches from trees to place on the road as well. They cried out, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!” The day of this memorable entry into Jerusalem became known as Palm Sunday.
