The Upper Room
Students may read Mark 14:10-16
During Jesus’ last week in Jerusalem, Judas began looking for a time and place to betray him. Meanwhile, Jesus made plans for a special meal with his disciples on Thursday evening. He gave the disciples some secretive directions for finding the location of the house where the supper would be held. He said a man carrying a pitcher of water would lead them to a house with an upper room. In this room, many important things happened, and it was their last meal together.
Discussion Questions
Why did Jesus give secretive directions to the upper room? It is wise to be careful, especially at certain times. We can take precautions and also rely on faith. Tell something you know about the Last Supper in the upper room.
