Jesus Heals a Boy - Part 2
Students may read Mark 9:14-29
Jesus and three apostles heard arguing as they came near the camp after the Transfiguration. A man stepped out of the crowd and begged Jesus to heal his son, who was afflicted with seizures and an unclean spirit. When Jesus saw the boy, he said to the distressed father, “All things are possible to him who believes.” And the father replied, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” Then, Jesus commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the boy and never return.
Discussion Questions
What questions do you have about the boy’s double affliction? The quotes in this story cause us to think about trusting God and believing with a whole heart. What thoughts do you have about, “All things are possible to him who believes”?
