Martha and Mary

Students may read Luke 10:38-42
Martha and Mary were sisters who lived in the town of Bethany with their brother Lazarus. One day, Jesus was a guest in their home. Mary chose to sit and listen to him teach. Martha, however, kept working at the serving tasks. She became upset that Mary wasn’t helping her. When she complained to Jesus he said, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”  
Discussion Questions

It is good to help with the tasks that need to be done. But sometimes people get too busy with unnecessary tasks and other distractions. Examples? Jesus reminds us to make time for the greater things of life. What are the greater things?
