The Good News
Students may read Matthew 28:16-20
Jesus appeared to his disciples after they returned to Galilee. First, he appeared to them on the shore when they were fishing. Later, Jesus said he would meet them on a certain hilltop in Galilee. The disciples gathered on the mount, and when Jesus appeared, they knelt before him. They heard the Master speak with the authority that had been given to him. The words that Jesus said, as recorded in Matthew’s gospel, became known as “The Great Commission.”
