Born in a Stable

Students may read Luke 2:1-7

Joseph and Mary arrived in the city of Bethlehem after the long journey from Nazareth. They had come to Bethlehem to add their names to the census of the Roman Empire. The inn was completely full with other travelers, but Joseph and Mary were told they could stay in a nearby stable. After settling in, Mary gave birth to baby Jesus. We remember that, “She wrapped him in swaddling cloths, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”
