The Wise Father
Students may read Luke 11:5-13
One day, Jesus told a story about how a wise father would answer the request of his child. We all know that a child might ask for something that would not be good for them. If earthly fathers know how to give wisely to their children, we can be sure that God will give us what we truly need and more. Our heavenly Father gives us everything we need to grow spiritually. Jesus said, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.”
Discussion Questions
We can talk to God about the things we want or need. What are some things that people pray for? We should remember, however, to trust God’s will. What does that mean? Jesus said we should “pray always and not become discouraged.”
